Currently it's one of the newest machines. In Mexico, there are only four of its kind. Our state-of-the-art reconstruction software is the same as the one used at the University of Chicago, the University of Cleveland and other universities worldwide.

In 12 seconds, without invasive actions, it gives us an anatomical map of the patient with virtual and detailed reconstruction of organs of the entire body: heart, circulatory system, virtual endoscopy, bone system, colon, lungs, brain, etc.

What are the requirements to perform the test?

Only your doctor’s indications. In patients older than 40, we recommend the test for coronary calcium plaque to diagnose ischemic heart disease.

In patients older than 50, colon polyp detection might be beneficial in order to detect precancerous diseases.

How is the test performed?

The patient does not need any preparation prior to the test, which lasts 15 minutes, except in some special cases.

The multi-slice tomography test requires a 6-hour fast, in case a contrast material is administered. The patient must dress in comfortable clothes and lie still while the test is carried out.
