The Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Department’s goal is to assist and drive actions conducive to the prevention of disability and to give the best physiotherapy to people with a temporary or permanent disability.

It provides quality and warmth in its rehabilitation services to patients with illnesses and the aftermath of the musculoskeletal system applying the most advanced scientific knowledge and use of state-of-the-art technology in order to obtain the best possible results.

The main services offered by the Physiatry Department at CIMA Hospital from the immediate post-operative stage until discharge through a program called CIMA AT HOME, include the use of electrotherapy, hydrotherapy, cryotherapy and mechanotherapy since the department has highly qualified personnel to continue treatment even at your home.

The main conditions treated with rehabilitation include rehabilitation for stroke, head trauma, multiple sclerosis, spinal injuries, cancer, cerebral palsy, facial palsy, back pain, arthritis, sports injuries, rehabilitation for hip and knee replacement and hand rehabilitation.
