CIMA Hospital Chihuahua was born from the dream of a group of physician investors in the community and a group of foreign who were excited to visualize an international quality Hospital for the city of Chihuahua. On May 15, 1998, the hospital started operations and thus became the premiere healthcare facility in the city. During the first year, the hospital had 50 hospital beds, 6 intensive care beds, 20 Neonatal Intensive Care beds and cribs, 3 ORs and 64 medical offices. Today, we have grown to 75 hospital beds, 6 intensive care beds, 8 NICU beds and cribs, 2 additional ORs, a 126-office tower and a heliport.

In the past 11 years we have brought to the hospital the latest technology such as 1.5 Tesla MRI, 64-slice CAT Scan, dual-head Nuclear Medicine and 2 workstations, and we have a state-of-the-art Outpatient Surgery Unit. The Clinical and Pathology Laboratory and the Emergency Unit were expanded and modernized for improved patient comfort. A number of complex procedures were performed, such as robot-assisted surgeries, aneurysm emobilization, nucleus pulposus prosthesis implantation, and others. This consolidates us as a leading, high-technology hospital.
Today, we have 154 physicians in our medical office tower, who specialize in 40 different areas of medicine, and a highly-trained nursing staff committed to serving patients and bringing them peace of mind.

The Chihuahua CIMA Hospital intends to continue to expand its infrastructure to provide a better service and cover the health needs of the community. For this reason, the highly anticipated opening of the Cancer Center will take place this year. The Cancer Center will be the first private facility in Chihuahua to provide services to patients with cancer, a terrible disease for which there is a lack of specialized and affordable care. The Cancer Center will have the most advanced Radiation Therapy unit in Latin America and a CT scanner, providing the right tools to help patients recover.

Another project to be completed in the near future is the addition of 25 more hospital beds, 20 medical offices, and new Hemodynamics equipment with Cardiology, Neurology and Peripheral Vascular applications to reinforce the Cardiology Center.

Our Strategic Alliance with the Hospital San Jose in Monterrey, developed in March 2008 makes it possible to ensure knowledge transfer and the exchange of healthcare experiences. This will strengthen the quality growth strategies that CIMA Hospital Chihuahua has set in expanding its hospital services to bring them to the level of the city of Chihuahua, competitive both domestically and internationally.

CIMA Hospital Chihuahua is possible as a result of three companies coming together: Promotora de Hospitales, Plaza Médica and International Hospital Corporation, which contributed their strengths and assets to create the largest hospital project in the region. Another key factor has been its leaders, particularly Don Federico Terrazas Torres, President of our Board of Directors, a man whose hard work and dedication are well known in the business community.

Another key element for the growth of the CIMA Hospital Chihuahua Hospital has been its vendors and customers. We take this opportunity to thank you for your loyalty and commitment.
This has been key to our success, but without the support and trust of the Chihuahua community, our effort would be in vain. Our commitment is to continue to provide services that bring health hope to those who choose us. |
